Central LA neighborhoods
Hancock Park's 1920s streets and the hillside homes above Sunset.

Central LA is the stretch between Hollywood and Mid-Wilshire, from the hills above Sunset down through Hancock Park, Miracle Mile and Koreatown. It holds some of the city's grandest 1920s streets, the Hollywood Hills, Museum Row along Wilshire, and West Hollywood, which is its own city.
Homes range from Spanish and Tudor estates on wide boulevards to hillside view houses, 1920s duplexes and courtyard buildings, and high-rise condos along Wilshire. The Metro B and D lines run through it, and the drive to Downtown, Century City or Beverly Hills is short by LA standards.

Flat 1920s streets of Spanish duplexes and bungalows between Beverly Hills and Fairfax, with Third Street's restaurants at the center.

Glass houses above the Sunset Strip, with the whole city spread out below.

Grand 1920s homes on wide lawns, a classic village shopping street, and a central spot between everywhere.

Movie palaces, a famous sign on the ridge, 1920s hillside streets and three Metro stops on Hollywood Boulevard.

Art Deco landmarks on Wilshire, three subway stops, and one of the best late-night food scenes in the country.

A winding canyon road between Sunset and the Valley, lined with 1920s cabins, hillside moderns and a beloved country store.

Museum Row on Wilshire, 1920s Spanish duplexes on tree-lined streets, and a brand-new subway stop at the corner.

Spanish courtyard buildings, sleek new condos and the Sunset Strip, packed into under two square miles.
