New in LA this fall: 11 openings worth the drive
New LA restaurants for fall 2026: Nancy Silverton's Palisades steakhouse, Birdie G's in Century City and the Lucas Museum. Where they are and what to order.
Fall is when LA's restaurant calendar fills back up, and 2026 has been a busy one. Between September and the end of October, The Infatuation's running list of new LA openings logged more than 50 places, from Koreatown barbecue to a coffee omakase in Studio City. Here are 11 worth knowing, spread across the map, plus the museum that opened its doors this September. Openings shift, so check each place's own site for hours before you go.
The big-name arrivals
- Spacca Tutto (Palisades Village Lane, Pacific Palisades). Nancy Silverton's Italian-American steakhouse, built with Caruso as the centerpiece of the reopened Palisades Village. Expect big steaks plus the Focaccia di Recco from her Chi Spacca. The Infatuation
- Birdie G's (Avenue of the Stars, Century City). Jeremy Fox's restaurant moved from Santa Monica into the Fairmont Century Plaza, now running from a morning coffee counter through dinner. The rose petal pie made the trip. Time Out LA
- Little Luck (Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood). An izakaya and sushi room in the former Bootsy Bellows nightclub space on the Strip, from the group behind The Nice Guy. The Infatuation
- Rumi's Kitchen (Santa Monica Boulevard, Century City). A Persian restaurant from Atlanta, with kebabs and saffron rice, now open on the edge of Century City. The Infatuation
Smaller rooms
- Bar Fortuna (Main Street, Santa Monica). A casual Italian wine bar from the chef behind Crudo e Nudo, close to the beach in Ocean Park. The Infatuation
- Gilbert Perez Bar (Ventura Boulevard, Sherman Oaks). A small tropical cocktail bar upstairs from Daisy Margarita Bar, built around Mexican rum. The Infatuation
- Sous Sous (Griffith Park Boulevard, Silver Lake). French cooking crossed with the American South, inside Hotel Lucile. The Infatuation
- Omake (Ventura Boulevard, Studio City). A coffee omakase: a short, seated tasting of coffees instead of a counter order. The Infatuation
- Sai Korean Bar (Kenmore Avenue, Koreatown). A Korean drinking-food bar, the kind of late-night spot built around shared plates, soju and beer, in a neighborhood that already has some of the best Korean cooking in the country. The Infatuation
Worth the longer drive
- Brodard Restaurant (Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach). The Fountain Valley Vietnamese favorite, known for its spring rolls, opened its first LA County location. The Infatuation
- Votana (Hill Street, Downtown LA). An all-day restaurant inside the Hotel Clark, in the historic core. The Infatuation
The museum that opened this fall
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opened on September 22, 2026, in Exposition Park, after more than a decade of planning. The building, designed by MAD Architects, holds a collection of more than 40,000 works, from illustration and comic art to film. The gardens around it are open without a ticket, and Skywalker Grill sits at the top of the building. It joins the Natural History Museum, the California Science Center and BMO Stadium in the same park, all a short trip from Downtown on the Metro E Line.
What this says about where the energy is
Two patterns stand out. Pacific Palisades is filling back in, with Spacca Tutto, Ueki Sushi and K Bakery all opening around Palisades Village this fall (our post on Palisades Village's return has more). And Century City is turning into a restaurant destination of its own, with Birdie G's and Rumi's Kitchen opening within a few blocks of each other, and Kyu announced for the Fairmont complex too.
